The Moderator, Rt. Rev. Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, has called on all Ghanaians to use the occasionof Easter to seek peace in dealing with one another. He said Christ’s suffering on the cross which atoned for the sin of all mankind has reconciled all men to God. The death of Christ shows how much God cherishes human life. The Moderator was delivering an Easter message in an interview with the Ghana Television (GTV) ahead of the celebrations. The Moderator, further, cited Jesus’s rebuke of Peter when he struck Malchus’s ear upon the arrest of Christ in the garden of Gethsemane, setting an example for us to be patient in dealing with others, including our enemies.
The Moderator, also appealed to drivers and road-users to exercise caution, in driving. He charged them to avoid reckless driving during the festivities to buttress the importance God places on human life. Rt. Rev. Dzomeku urged all to pray and seek unity and peace to work for the progress of the country. He charged all not to give up in the face of hardships. He was hopeful that there would be better times for the country and the world at large by the grace of God.
He also called on all members of the ecumenical bodies to unite and celebrate Easter to drive home the good news of salvation for all mankind
