Rev. Dr. Komi Hiagbe, the Rector of the Global Theological Seminar (GTS), has revealed that, the Seminary would soon embark on agribusiness projects in its efforts to supplement the church’s support to them.
He was hopeful that by the end of the year 2021, through its agribusiness, the Seminary would match the church’s expenses on her by 50 percent.
Rev Dr. Hiagbe was speaking at the 7th graduation ceremony of GTS held at the Global Evangelical Church, (GEC) Adonai Chapel, Madina-Accra.
A total of One Hundred and Eighty-Six (186) graduates have been presented with diplomas and certificates after successfully pursuing various programmes at the Seminary.
They were awarded with Diplomas in Theology (Modular/Regular) and certificates in Biblical Counseling, Preaching, Christian Ministry, Prophetic Ministry, Basic Education, Small Business Development, Biblical Peace Building and Conflict Resolution as well as Church Records Management and Music.
Rev. Dr. Hiagbe charged the graduating students not to view their various Diplomas and certificates as terminal degrees but to further their studies to make them more resourceful and relevant in their callings.
Professor Reimmel Kwame Adosraku, the Male Presbyter on the Synod Committee Executive in his keynote address themed: “Godliness for Excellence in Ministerial Formation noted that Godliness was vested only in God’s Word.”
He said, there was the need for all to make the Word of God and for that matter Jesus the standard for our day to day living.
Professor Adosraku who is also the Assoociae Professor of Pharmaceutical Studies of the Kwame University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, tasked the graduates to go out and become good ambassadors of Christ and the Seminary.
Rev. Wisdom Avortri, gave the valedictory address on behalf of his colleague graduates.
The entire graduation ceremony was under the aegis of Right Rev. Dr. Setorwu Kwadzo Ofori, the Moderator of the Global Evangelical Church and the Chairman of the GTS Council.
